Empowering Safety: Your Fire Doors, Our Certified Assurance

Fire doors are designed to stop the spread of both heat and smoke in the event of fire. They form part of the passive fire safety measures within a building, and therefore provide critical protection to its occupants, so it is essential that they are well maintained, tested, fit for purpose, and compliant with current regulations. These include The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Regulatory Reform Order (2005).

Firelink can assist and support Duty holders in meeting their statutory obligations in relation to fire safety, ensuring their buildings and its occupants are kept safe from the risk of fire, and that they achieve compliance with relevant fire safety legislation.

Our Fire Door Inspectors are fully trained and competent in assessing a large range of fire door types, using a bespoke ten-point assessment tool aligned with BM Trada’s Accepted Repair Techniques (ARTS) and BS 8214. Following an inspection, our surveyors provide a comprehensive report detailing the condition of the doors, any deficiencies identified, and recommendations for remedial repairs or replacements to improve and maintain the fire safety performance of the door sets .

Firelink is also 3rd party certified and accredited through BM Trada, meaning any new door installations or repairs to existing doors are fully certified and accompanied with supporting documentation, giving assurance that any work carried out is completed to the highest standards.
